please help to save my plant 😭😭

hello everyoneee 😭😭😭 i am in need of urgent helppp

this is my first plant, it was growing well (picture 1) but one day i think the rain was too heavy, it damped the soil a lot and there was white spikes growing off it

i tried to cut them off and re-soil the plant but it looks like this now (picture 2) 😭😭😭

i really hope to save this plant, i’m willing do anything, can anyone please help? thank you SO MUCH in advance 🥹🥹
