Monty Don has been inundated with congratulations after revealing some “good news” to his supporters.

The Gardeners’ World presenter turned to social media to deliver a career announcement to his audience.

In the clip, Monty appeared delighted as he revealed: “Hello, I’ve got some good news, because next spring, this book will be published.

“It’s taken two years to write. It’s the culmination of visiting dozens of gardens from the north of Scotland to the tip of Cornwall and celebrating the very best of British gardens with some of the most wonderful in the world.

“And also it’s got fabulous pictures by my friend Derry Moore. And on top of that, also next spring, I shall be going around the country talking about the gardens, about stories behind them, about stories involved in filming,” reports the Express, reports the Mirror.

“Because, of course, I did a big series for the BBC on the gardens and how all of this has informed and impacted on my own gardening life.”

He continued: “So come and join me next spring, you can go to the website and tickets will be available now.”

Supporters rushed to share their enthusiasm in the comments, with one posting: ” Yes, the TV shows were so good, thanks for putting the visits in print!”.

Another replied: “We have been watching your series on the Roku streaming platform and absolutely love it! Hope you find your way back to the US one day, would be a pleasure to see and listen to you in person.”

Another fan added their voice, saying, “Looks a fabulous book! Please come to Buxton…loved it when you came and talked about Nigel a few years ago.

“Sounds like a book I need,” another follower chimed in, while another expressed their excitement with, “Can’t wait.”

In other news, earlier this week, Monty shared shocking images and footage of the flooding at his Herefordshire home, which he shares with his wife, Sarah, and their two dogs, Patti and Ned.

He captioned the post, “A little wet in the garden this morning after yesterday’s storm that dropped a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours.”
