Whos this little one I found under a pine in northeast Texas? Couldnt find any similar plants in the area. Leaves feel similar to a tomato plant, a bit sandpapery.

I think it might be a type of okra, or maybe even mulberry. I have a small volunteer mulberry tree that the young leaves looking like this sometime

u/floating_weeds_ is correct. It’s a Mulberry. I’ve seen it identified as Morus australis, but I’ve also heard it described as a male White mulberry, Morus alba. I don’t know which, if either are correct.
