Hi all I am looking for your expert advice as to whether you think I am setting myself up for success with this propagation using fluval stratum. My first try wasn’t great I think due to the previous vessel being too large. I found this one that is about the height of the aerial root. I have only the aerial root in the stratum and about 20% filled with water. Is that too much water? Do you keep a small amount of water standing in the vessel?
I got this large from green on green on facebook and REALLY want to be successful with it.
ANY advice is appreciated thank you!

You should be fine always have a little water in the bottom
