My Haworthias have been watching too much Yu-Gi-Oh

Can anyone tell me what's going on with my haworthia?

I have a few around the house and the majority are doing fine but these two are doing their best Yugi Mutou impressions and trying to grow anime spikes in the middle.

I did notice the soil on the first one is still moist from watering on Friday, so is it from over watering? Would repotting in new soil help?

They both get around medium light in south facing rooms. They're the only ones in my house not on a windowsill so I'd imagine light is also a factor here but I'm really strapped for windowsill space since everything seems to throw a fit when I move them even an inch away.
