I had a wild avocado from Indonesia grow big and strong, so I wanted to continue growing other ones I got from the store. I think they were from Australia. I live in a tropical climate.
However these store bought avocados are able to sprout and grow some leaves but start to shrivel up and die afterwards. I was wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong?
The soil I used for this sprout is 'lighter' and retains moisture more. I also unfortunately used some diluted neem oil as there were some pests and was told neem oil is safe for the plant.
Would it be due to chlorination of my tap water? Or poisoning from neem oil…. or root rot? I am puzzled. Please help if you know!
