Hi so my aglaonema has been trying to push a new leaf for over a month and was unsuccessful, while also dropping multiple bottom leaves in the process (the emerging leaf has been ripped as of yesterday as I noticed it was starting to rot). I think this is due to the cold season, there is a significant drop in light as it has been constantly raining and the days have gone short. I tried fertilizing it a few days ago so I hope this will help but otherwise I don't know what to do to help it.

The leaves just keep dropping FAST and I don't know what to do 🙁 any tips on how to keep it alive during the colder months?

watering: when soil is 70% dry

It looks like it’s got new leaves that are decreasing in size. Light is probably the only answer here.

As you said, it needs light and there is nothing else you can do to possibly satisfy this need. I mean, you can’t replace light with fertilizer, it doesn’t work that way. Give it the most illuminated spot you can find and be careful with watering: your soil is too dense and might lead to root rot.

  3. Don’t fertilize it when it’s not actively growing (when light is low) and water way less. My pink aglaonema has been very susceptible to root rot, so I am now waiting till it’s below 3 on my moisture meter.
