Gardener came by like 3-4 months back. Not sure with what (doesn't really matter) but they knocked 2 pieces of jade from the mother. Got em in buckets to try and let em grow some roots of their own.
About 2 months ago i started noticing the new growth but i guess I'm not used to seeing it come from the woody bits.
A month after that they both started flowering too.
I'm just hoping these are both positive signs and not like death blooms signs that the plant is putting out a ton of flowers cuz it knows its dying.

Not death blooms — this looks like a happy, healthy jade!! Death blooms really only apply to monocarpic plants like agave, or to plants that are very, very visibly on their last legs and allowing all their foliar growth to die back in order to focus everything they can muster into flowering
A piece of my jade dropped off into my spare soil tub.
I ignored it and it grew.
So now I have two Jade plants. YAY for us!
I just call it a panic bloom. I’ve got a pot of 3-inch strings of buttons that all started flowering the moment they established roots.
Jades don’t give a fuck
