just got this little guy! should i transfer to water to get stronger roots?

    No I would not transfer it to water. But I would be careful on how much you water it, the soil looks dense. Should have more Orchid Bark mixed in. Always check the soil before watering it make sure it is dry. Give it bright, indirect light & it should grow just fine. I would wait until Spring to transplant it. But if it is warming up where you live, still give it a few months to adjust to your environment.

    If you paid $2 for it, just leave it as is. Looks like someone threw a branch in the pot. I doubt there’s any root down there.

    I wouldn’t repot it, it looks kind of small for that pot anyway. I would leave it be and let it get settled! (But that’s from an advocate of not repotting often, based on a great book, so take my advice with a grain of vermiculite!)
