I used to think that I was tripping when I would walk past my pothos and I would feel wetness on my arm. Then one day I finally saw it. They DO drip water from the leaves lol

This is called “guttation” and is typical for many plants.

  2. I just realized that too! Like a couple weeks after having a pothos. I’ve never seen my other plants do it. They must be shy 🤭

I’ve got elephant ears that leave puddles on the floor.

My ring of fire philodendron does this any time a new leaf unfurls.

My Hoya carnosa leaks a sappy type liquid that’s all sticky like sugar water. Makes a right mess lol

I always thought this meant I was overwatering! I’m glad to know this is common/normal, I will have to rethink my watering schedule.

Guttation is your plants way of pushing out excess water/minerals and it typically happens at night as transpiration stops. It’ll usually happen shortly after a watering cycle.

  8. Same with me, when mine did that the 1st time, Thought my ceiling had a leak!
So happy it was the plant!
