It feels like a dry patch, although it appears to only be the one patch on the plant.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    This is called “corking”. Its kind of lake a bark that grows on the older parts of the plant so that it can harden and support itself better. I have a monstera and even a cactus that have this. Its all good! Just means that your plant is maturing.

    I also want to know because I have these on two petioles just before the leaf (at the bendy bit it moves from)

    So, the big distances between your leaves suggest to me that the plant would also prefer a lot more LIGHT. Ask around, see what people say…

  4. Your velcro is facing with a harsh side towards the stem. You can zip it other way as well.
