I have this younger River Birch. I can't remember if it is a dura heat or heritage type. I planted it about 5 years ago when it was only a few feet tall in a 2 gallon pot, knowing it was going to get big one day.
It's about 25 feet from the house, and has probably doubled in size in a year. Now that it has grown up, it's getting to the point I'd like to try to keep it from getting way too big. Maybe 1-2 years more growth before that point.
Would like to hear some thoughts on pruning it back, letting it grow, or relocating it. I really like the look of the tree and the location but don't want to create a a monster by cutting it back once it reaches the desired size. I also don't know if the full mature height is going to be good either if it keeps growing at this rate. Is there any way to manage these trees to a certain size?

25’ is fine. Looks like it’s gonna be a lovely tree
Agreed, looks great, planted in a good spot. Can’t quite tell, but I’d consider removing branches from the ground up to 3-4’ to show off the trunk and provide more sunlight to your other plantings. Consider going higher as the tree ages.
