First time going to try to propagate. I have 2 very old plants. One is pretty limp and thin. ( Has more leaves). The other doesn't have much green leaf but is more firm. I don't want to take too much that can kill the original plant. Appreciate any suggestions and help. Thank you.

When was the last time it was fertlized?
How often do you water it? Theyre not like traditional cacti.
