Tried to grow a “wall fern” at home… failed miserably 😭😂

The ferns dried up and didn’t root. Anyone here ever grown ferns on walls?
Should I use spores instead of cuttings?
Any tips for moisture control or the right surface?
Would love to learn from your experience! 🙏
