This is my very first year leaving the leaves. We don't live in an hoa but we do live in a neighborhood where the houses have immaculately pristine showroom lawns mowed and raked within an inch of it's life. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac with only one next-door neighbor as the other side is a creek. We haven't heard anything from the neighbors but have seen them stop and read the sign when walking or driving by. I've been tempted numerous times to just call the lawncare and give up in fear of what they think but I'm trying to hold strong.
My hope is to kill off the grass in an eco friendly way and replace it all with native wildflowers in the spring but I'm unsure of the path to doing so. Any and all suggestions welcome!
