I got this “white ghost” cutting on Etsy about 3 weeks ago from the description it seems like a branch cutting from a mother plant grown outdoors, I originally had it in a much bigger pot but when the soil wasn’t drying fast enough I moved it to a much smaller one. During the repotting process I noticed that all the original roots were dead and falling off, but the plant popped two new roots. My question is about all those lines on the plant that look like wrinkles, it seems to me like the plant is thirsty. I water it whenever the soil is completely dry which is about once a week for me. Should I water more often. I would also like to ask about the dry spots that look like sun damage, I have the plant directly under 2 10w Sansi bulbs right now, are the dry spots going to get bigger? Last question is in relation to the lights, are the 2 10w sansi bulbs enough for this plant or should I look into higher wattage bulbs?

  1. Your watering schedule sounds right and it looks healthy for a new acquisition. Sometimes they just naturally get spots like that. I’m not sure they are from sun damage. They possibly may get bigger, but I’m leaning towards them staying how they are. Maybe someone else has seen them behave differently though. It doesn’t look indicative of an issue, at least to me. The 2 lights on it also sound like enough. Overall I think you are doing it right.
