I have seven Acers in the garden and this one is my autumn favourite. Photo 1 was taken on October 10th. Photo 2 was taken today, November 10th. The leaves turn bright red just before they fall off. It is the most beautiful colour.

Love acers and the beautiful colours they change! First time I’ve seen one shaped in to a ball though and I can’t say that I like it.
Just personal preference though of course, like seeing a Dulux dog (old English sheep dog) all trimmed and shaved, just feels wrong to me.
I work as a gardener and spend my life trimming balls and boxes (much like a beautician hehe) and I’ve never seen or done this.
