I have seven Acers in the garden and this one is my autumn favourite. Photo 1 was taken on October 10th. Photo 2 was taken today, November 10th. The leaves turn bright red just before they fall off. It is the most beautiful colour. by I_waz_Perce gardening uk 1 Comment Icy_Pass_2639 6 months ago Love acers and the beautiful colours they change! First time I’ve seen one shaped in to a ball though and I can’t say that I like it. Just personal preference though of course, like seeing a Dulux dog (old English sheep dog) all trimmed and shaved, just feels wrong to me. I work as a gardener and spend my life trimming balls and boxes (much like a beautician hehe) and I’ve never seen or done this.
