Recent events have made me take a closer look at my Monstera, and I think it may be time for… A chop? What's an appropriate size for a houseplant? At what point is it the plant's house and I just live here?

Wow – I love this monstera! It really is a statement plant and if you’re happy with its look and size, I wouldn’t change it. What a beauty!

I wouldn’t touch it till it reached the ceiling!

How many plants do you have in that pot? I very rarely like the looks of multiplant monsteras, but that is amazing!

I am a skim scroller and I immediately got super sad. And then I reread and was still sad but not super duper sad.

I agree. It’s time to move to a house with taller ceilings!

Put her on a wheeled base! But otherwise, no maintenance needed.

A true monster of a plant. It’s beautiful!

But I did think, with me needing an eye exam, that the picture was focused on the “chonky cat” in the foreground. Seriously, I need an eye exam and had to get closer to see the dog smh

Are there stakes holding it up? I have tried to tie mine vertical but it keeps dropping out to the side.

Bigger pot with soil refresh + fertilizer and let it consume the entire wall

This is like showing a picture of Sydney Sweeney and saying it’s time for a breast reduction.

WTF, that thing is incredible. I wouldn’t do anything but adore it until it starts showing issues.

  24. What did you do to keep it up nice and strait like that over the years?
