One month, one man, and enough ivy to knit a sweater for Godzilla. I won, but at what cost?

I’m in my own ivy fight, including freeing a black walnut tree from its thick clutches. Previous owners probably let this go for 10 years. The ground cover ivy is a maddening weave.

You haven’t won. Muwahahahaha. It will be back in the spring. And every spring henceforth. You’ll be pulling for years. But the hardest part is out of the way. Bravo!

My side and back yard looked like this but with poison ivy! lol

Would you recommend just pulling it? I have a big ivy problem myself and was thinking of using a big till after sharpening the blades a bit.

If you’ve not used triclopyr ester, you haven’t won.

their a section of my town were the rich people have their whole front lawns planted with English ivy, i guess they don’t want to pay someone to cut the grass.

Just stay on top of it. Check for new growth daily.
