Begonia maculata! I have two of these. Mine like bright indirect light OR a close, bright plant light. They also prop well in water. They seem like medium feeders when it comes to fertilizer stuff and I water based on soil conditions instead of on a schedule. I have a soil mix I made for them by mixing peat moss, orchid bark, a tiny bit of charcoal flakes, and the miracle gro tropical soil which has rock inclusions in it. Not sure if that is what everyone does but that’s my setup and mine are huge now and don’t drop leaves, I’ve had to prune them for my space.

It’s a begonia, and I wish I could have one, but they’re toxic to dogs.

Begonia maculata. I have kept these for close to a decade. They are super easy to propagate. Semi drought tolerant, as long as the stem is still green, it will come back.
I put mine outside in the spring, and take cuttings to winter over in my grow room.
They flower every fall for me. The flowers are really cool.
Polka dot begonia! Water this plant from the bottom with distilled water and make sure it has bright indirect light and this plant will grow like crazy. I have one in my dining room that I rescued from fb marketplace last year and it has tripled in size since switching over to distilled water

Mine is growing like a frickin weed with a grow light and tap water. I’m actually annoyed at myself for not repotting it in this spring, I’ll have to keep an eye on it to potentially repot in the winter. She won’t stop growing! (Not a complaint, just an observation.)
