They love being cramped. I wouldn’t repot anytime soon.

Came here to agree with all of those saying not to repot it. They do better in smaller pots versus one that’s too big.
Thank you everyone for your advice!! I saw her roots growing above soil, as well as being wrapped around the circumference of the pot, which made me think she needed more space- now I know it’s the opposite. I’m so glad I posted here before replanting!
What she really needs is more light, imo.
I’d recommend a new pot that’s tapered outward to make the next extraction much easier… and potentially save money on smashed pots.
The plant will tell you when you need a larger pot.
It will literally break the pot. Don’t do change pots until then.
And maybe more light?

zz plants love tiny pots, my mom had her massive zz in the same small pot for like 15 years before that poor thing literally broke it with its roots last year 😭

You might want to chop and tee pot that long stem. Cut it down to 3 inches height. Then chop the long piece into two and plant them both.

Everyone in these comments not helping is about to get beat up. First of all your plant isn’t growing a lot because it’s happy it’s growing a lot because she’s trying to find light. You can tell because she’s leggy, has space between the leaves and like you said is growing very quickly. I would prune the roots possibly cut back the top and put it under a grow light if your gonna have it that far from the window
