Dug these holes, filled with a fair amount of bone meal. The actual space between each is about 18 – 20 inches, but I’m a bit worried about the density when it eventually establishes. Planted on a slight ridge as suggested by Monty Don.
I have a couple more of these that I didn’t plant and was going to return unless people think these could do with being redistributed.
Thanks!

I would have added 2-3 more and brought them forward a bit. I sell hedging plants, as it goes.
The plants will look great but the way the border twist orientation isn’t uniform throughout the border is really messing with me.
The photo is deceptive, 18 inches is about right in the long run. I would suggest moving the one at the end further from the front wall, and centre all of them in the border, IMO they’re too close to the brick wall. Monty is the Oracle, I’m sure he mentioned that next to nothing will happen for 12 months now!! Good work, good luck!
Frankly,I cant see this as appropriate planting to be brutally honest.Whilst its a slow growing subject,Yew would have been low down on my list.1 would be overkill nevermind 3,given the restricted planting area.
Look around a Graveyard-These are seriously substantial,long-lived trees.
I can only say to take them out now and think again.
They seem way too close to the brick wall. Plus you’ve got them unevenly spaced – were you dodging something underground?
It’s very close to the wall. Why not middle of the bed?
Think i would have done one more. And brought them forward a bit.
