🌱 Has anyone tried using coconut husk instead of sponges for hydroponics?

I’ve been exploring sustainable alternatives for hydroponic growing mediums and got curious do you think coconut husk (or cocopeat blocks) could work just as well as sponges for seed starting and plant growth?
