I mean….they do come from (and turn into) Flying insects…
You know the adults can fly, right?
They climb and decimate trees too.

I’ve had those bastards. It happens. They love to burrow inside of the little guys!

Little pricks. Had some grasshoppers once tuck into my Pachinoi’s. Idiots just sat there staring at me after a belly full so made killing then easy. They must have been tripping balls pretty damn hard.
Keep and eye out especially at night and squish em. Sprinkling diatomaceous earth can help. And sulfur in the wounds on the cacti. Then maybe spray with phos acid the next week.
Most effective thing to kill them is spraying a product called Monterey BT mixed with water and a wetting agent like yucca extract
