The Pale Garden in Minecraft is one of the biggest highlights of The Garden Awakens game drop. This eery variant of the dark forest has already captured the gaming community’s attention. Players who ventured into the new biome reckon it could do with some improvements to make it even better.
In a Reddit post by u/Head_Produce_295, many gave their opinions and ideas regarding possible improvements for this biome. Here are the five features Minecraft fans want to see in Pale Garden.

These are 5 features Minecraft fans want to see in Pale Garden
1) Dense fog in Pale Garden

One of the most-suggested features was the addition of Fog to Pale Garden. Many Redditors suggested that bringing back alpha fog to this biome would enhance and add to the mysterious and eerie nature of the biome.
“Definitely a fan of fog. They should bring back alpha fog within the biome”- Mckooldude
Fog is an old game mechanic that was implemented during its inception in Minecraft Java edition 0.0.14a. Obscuring visibility and adding a fog mechanic is sure to make Pale Garden even more challenging, especially at night. Many also suggested adding a puddle mechanic along with the fog that slows down players as they navigate away from mobs in the reduced visibility.
2) Stronger mobs

The creaking was introduced as the primary mob in Pale Garden and despite its menacing looks and glowing eyes, many feel that it turned out to be a dud. The creaking is not that difficult to defeat despite needing to find the creaking heart to eliminate it.
“The Creaking should be a little stronger. I think it’s too easy to ignore the damage it deals while finding and breaking the heart.” -DisturbedWaffles2019
Many Minecraft players hope that Mojang makes the creaking a bit more difficult to defeat rather than just searching for the Heart and destroying it. They hope the mob inflicts more damage when chasing or destroying the Heart. Additionally, the creaking should have the ability to trick players by blending in with local fauna and misleading them.

3) More vegetation in the Pale Garden

Many players suggested that for a biome named Pale Garden, there is a distinct lack of fauna and flora. Introducing themed plants like white flowers, pumpkins, or mushrooms could add to the allure of the biome.
“For a biome called the Pale Garden, it’s remarkably lacking in vegetation. A new flower, some particle effects, and some other plants like a white pumpkin could make it feel more alive, but still creepy.” – DisturbedWaffles2019
Additionally, many feel that the Minecraft biome could also benefit from the addition of unique fauna like white foxes, crows, or snowy owls to instill authenticity. The presence of animals could also create a sense of unease as distant noises from the creatures could heighten the eeriness. Adding fireflies in the darkness could also fit perfectly with the night atmosphere.
Some players suggested adding glowing flowers that activated at night and had an aura similar to the eyes of the creaking. This would be a great way to create a tense atmosphere and make players feel as if they are surrounded. Additionally, fallen logs could be added to the ground. This would serve as a great way to slow gamers down when navigating or escaping the Pale Garden.
4) Hidden underground arena

One of the most popular suggestions was the presence of a hidden underground section of the Pale Garden that only activated or revealed itself during the night.
“I also originally thought that the pale garden was going to be an underground biome, and it would be cool if they make an underground variant of the pale garden!” – CupMiserable485
Many pointed out that an underground variant of the Pale Garden would spice up the gameplay as it would be virtually impossible to know if a creaking is nearby unless you look at the glow. The darkness in the underground caves or area could be a bonus that amplifies gameplay.
Some also suggested the presence of night-only structures which rewarded special loot but at the risk of facing buffed creakings, similar to the night mode in Dying Light.

5) More structures and buildings

Many players suggested the incorporation of more structures and buildings to encourage exploring the Pale Garden. Some suggested the placement of a structure similar to the swamp huts which could reward them with exclusive loot or ingredients for new potions.
“Imagine if you could find some witch hut type structure with some new vegetation and maybe potion ingredients.” – PcPotato7
Some Minecraft players also suggested adding dilapidated or broken buildings in the Pale Garden. This would serve two purposes — be an excellent place to explore and look for new loot as well as add to the haunting atmosphere of the biome.
