I have owned a property management firm for over 10 years so we clean professionally and one product I used for jetted tubs, dish washers, washing machines is this magical product called Ahh!some. It dawned on me today that I could give it a try on my hydroponics tubing and pump just like a hot tub. It’s my understanding it’s purely an enzyme cleaner and no chemicals. That green stuff is super sticky and it’s a glossy bucket and it’s sticking like glue. I usually scrub the tubing that runs the entire length and use OxiClean or bleach which takes a lot of time and then I would flush everything with Star San. The tubing and pump aren’t very old and i clean this system well so I was shocked with what is coming out. I had already taken it all apart but it’s a no rinse formula so all you have to do is take your plants out and put the gel in reservoir and turn it on with bubbler and pump running for 30 minutes. If it’s super dirty you may want to add some super hot water just to warm it up a bit. In future I will just run the gel and replace the water before scrubbing down the whole system which doesn’t do even half as good of a job at what I am seeing. I replace water regularly and the current water was only a week old and was distilled (I re-mineralizer) and only use half to quarter of nutes.
