The Gravedigger mini game is an activity added into Grow a Garden during the Ghoul Garden Halloween event.
In this Grow a Garden event, you’ll interact with the Gravedigger as part of a mini game in which you dig up random spots, each of which has the chance to reward various new and existing rewards.

What is the Gravedigger mini game in Grow a Garden?
The Gravedigger mini game in Grow a Garden is fairly straightforward to find and play – you’ll find them next to the Dead Tree (or Witch) in the centre of the map.
When the Gravedigger is in the garden – which occurs on a semi-regular basis (usually every two or so hours) – you can interact with them to access the mini game that takes place in a separate area. In this other area, you’ll select tiles to ‘dig’ up. In doing so, you have the chance to receive various items as rewards.

Since this event only occurs every now and again, it’s best to make sure you take part in it as soon as you can since it only lasts for a short time too.
As it stands, there’s no definitive answer as to how often this activity occurs each day, but it takes the place of the Jack O Lantern activity that will also run from time to time as well.
