Understanding how to get Candy Corn in the Ghoul Garden Update to Grow a Garden is important for buying new items. This is because it’s a new limited-time currency for purchasing all the Halloween-themed seeds, pets, and cosmetics. Find out everything about Candy Corn and how to get it in this guide!
How to Get Candy Corn in Grow a Garden
As goes with any limited-time currency that’s part of an event, you typically need to participate in the event to get it. This is the same case for Candy Corn in the Ghoul Garden Update. While the event runs, there are two methods with one revolving around the Witch and the other, the Jack-o-Lantern.
Fill the Witch’s Cauldron
Similar to past events that require you to give unique NPCs a ton of your crops, the Witch also wants your crops. You’ll find her near the center of the island during this event. By giving her crops, you’ll contribute to filling her cauldron for rewards. These consist of both the Candy Corn currency and other items like Spooky Eggs. However, you’ll get more points from contributing rarer plants to the pot. These will also fill the cauldron quicker.
So if you’re lucky enough to have a bunch of rare plants in your garden like Sugar Apples and Beanstalks, you’ll be able to fill it fast! But even if you don’t have those, you can still work together with other players and friends too.
Here are the points you’ll get per crop given to the Witch:
Common – 1 Point Uncommon – 2 Points Rare – 3 Points Legendary – 4 Points Mythical – 5 Points Divine – 6 Points Prismatic – 7 Points Transcendent – 8 Points For Silver Variants – +1 Points For Gold Variants – +2 Points For Rainbow Variants – +3 PointsGive Halloween Crops to Jack-o-Lantern
The second method for getting the Candy Corn currency is by working with the Jack-o-Lantern NPC. You can give them Halloween crops you’ve gotten from the Halloween Market. Or you can give them crops with Halloween mutations on them. These likely include the Ghostly, Spooky, and Vamp mutations.
The amount of Candy Corn varies per crop, but we haven’t confirmed the specific numbers ourselves. And there’s a chance the Jack-o-Lantern takes your crop without giving you any reward. This is part of a mini scare where a pumpkin image appears on your screen.
This method isn’t as simple as the Witch since the Jack-o-Lantern is only available once per 2 hours, for 10 minutes. You’ll need to time it just right so that you’re around when they appear and give them as many crops as you can in that time.
Did you know you can see when the Jack-o-Lantern NPC will appear by going near the center of the island? A little to the right of the Witch will show a countdown for when they’ll visit the island.
We’re hopeful the Grow a Garden developers add a way to give the Jack-o-Lantern all of your Halloween crops at once. They often have this for events or tend to add it later as an update. Otherwise, it’s time-consuming to give the Jack-o-Lantern a bunch of Bloodred Mushrooms one at a time!
