Was she outside? Google says those are seed pods!
Those are certainly seed pods. They mature quite slowly (think months). If you want to catch the seeds I recommend putting a breathable bag around it because those seeds have little parachutes (like dandelions). If you want to know how to grow them from seed I can give some tips! Did it myself about 8 months ago
