Individual leaves on the old growth are easily pulled off. New growth seems okay.

FWIW: I had a moldy soil problem a few months ago. Treated it with cinnamon

And… how do i save/fix it?

    It’s been over watered, I had one and just left it and it came good. Someone with more understanding might have better options

    Cinnamon is not going to do anything. I know people say it will but its barely gonna do anything. Especially if you dont fix the actual issue.

    Your over watering, do you dump water out of the pot holder? Are you watering every x amount of days?
    Only water when it starts to dry up.

    Let the soil dry between watering.

    1. Soil – needs to be really chunky
    2. Watering – set it and forget. I water mine like once a month, sometimes even every 6 weeks.
    3. You probably have some root rot, I will give you some instructions. Even if you don’t have mushy roots, I’d still put the rootball in a hydrogen peroxide bath to kill any fungus.

    Additional note: instructions below is a recipe for aroid soil, but it works just fine for a snake plant. Sending over a pic of an ideal soil, disregard the leca, you don’t need it!

    Remove *all soil* you can do this by a hose and spraying the rootball.

    Once all the soil is removed, inspect the roots. If you see mushy roots, cut them off using sterile scissors. Soak the rootball for about 15-20 minutes in water and hydrogen peroxide, 2:1 ratio.

    Potting mix for aroids:

    Using a utility bucket and a garden scooper or an ice scoop…

    * 1/2 scoop of cactus soil
    * 1/2 scoop worm castings (optional, but good for nutrients)
    * 1/2 scoop of compost (optional, but good for nutrients)
    * 2 scoops perlite
    * 2 scoops horticultural charcoal
    * 2 scoops orchid bark

    Mix it all up, and you want to get the impression of, “that’s chunky” If you don’t get that impression, add another scoop of charcoal and perlite.

  4. Rot, change the soil to something that is not so dense, then stop overwatering.
