We rescued this fig after the previous owner left it while moving. We didn't initially know it was homeless and slowly watched it dying – until it was an emergency and we had to do something. It had two leaves left.

Now that we watered and fed it, it's perking up a lot, and has added four new leaves.

So now that it isn't in crisis mode, what should we do about the Dr. Seuss leaf situation? Chop it down and start over? Leave it? Thank you!

    Yup, chop the top off and propagate in water ( it will take 4-6 weeks until the roots are about an inch long). Your bottom stump should sprout leaves! Now you have two!
