Hey all,

Been trying to keep up with other's posts but it's time I share and ask. I have a grow lamp on the fiddle leaf and it's working beautifully as the tree tends to lean towards the lamp, and we haven't seen any dead leaves. Every so often I rotate the tree to try and keep it evenly upright.

What are your thoughts on the roots (last pic)? Do I need to replant in new soil or just top it off or leave it? If so, what soil mix might work best?

Personally I have repot something like this without any issues. I however do make sure not to go super crazy on sizing up. I forget what the rule of thumb is but yeah.

    Everything looks fine to me.

As for repotting, you’ll have to pull the whole thing out of the pot and see how root bound it is below. The top of the soil and roots above the soil won’t tell you much, and how it looks now is fine above the soil

If you want it to branch out, now is a good time to cut the top of the branch to promote branching
