For or against collecting the same species of plant in different colors?
I really like anthuriums, they come in many colors (red, black, chocolate, white, green, blue!). I already have 3 in different colors and I'm hesitant to collect them to have all the existing colors. Good or bad idea?
For of course! If I like some plant I want to get more of it and if there is variety available, that is super nice!
For example I have golden, neon, marble queen, manjula, n’joy and jungle fever pothos; phalaenopsis orchids with blooms in a few colours; and three different hoya plants. Soon I plan to saw some seeds of various colours of coleus in pots to give my place some color.

For always. I also like to pot them together for colourful display.
I have 5 pothos plants. 3 of them are just cuttings from one thats a bit larger.

At one point I had about 40 different tropical hibiscus in my house. I guess I’m for.

I’ve started collecting philodendrons because they all look so different. I’m fascinated by them

Against! I love diversity in my little forest. I want to experience all sorts of species in my care. I do have more than one though if there are variegations I adore. My most duplicated ones are my heartleaf philodendron or hoya. Lemon Lime, V. Heartleaf and V. Micans. Flamingo Carnosa, V. Compacta, and a red Caudata. I just got into carniverous plants though so nepenthes or pings are sure to surpass this. 🤣
