He has been with me through 4 full moves, 2 flights, and 3 car rides, and he has now moved into my office. He stood by my side through COVID, the LSAT, law school, a terrible breakup, the bar, two family deaths, my first western New York winter, and my first year as an attorney. It seems silly but I actually have a serious emotional connection to this guy. He has not bloomed in 5 years (rip) but he seems happy, so I’m happy too. I’ll try harder to encourage flowers for next year, but damn I love watching him grow anyway.
