Hello all! Here I have four of my cherished African violets given to me by a very special person a few years ago. Pretty much all of them have grown “goose” necks and are very long and reaching. How do I go about helping these plants and maintaining?

I recently have purchased a grow light. Any advice would be helpful!

First thing I’d do is propagate some leaves from each plant. Not the lowest leaves on the stem as those are the oldest and have the least chance of rooting. Go up a couple of leaves from the lowest and take those to root. Next, I’d decap and reroot the the crown of the plants. Also, yes, they need better light to not grow out like that. Here are instructions on how to do that ==> [https://africanvioletsocietyofamerica.org/learn/violets-101/repotting-a-violet-with-a-neck/](https://africanvioletsocietyofamerica.org/learn/violets-101/repotting-a-violet-with-a-neck/)
