What is this. Is it a new root coming off of my plant. I’m not positive what the plant is so I do apologize. I’m just afraid it’s mold. It’s a new terrarium about 2 weeks old so I’m still trying to dial in light and humidity.

Need help identifying a mold or fungus? That can only be achieved using professional sampling methods and laboratory analysis. Your environment is too wet. if it’s a wet environment purposely it needs ventilation.

I believe that is a root. Also the Venus flytrap you have don’t do very well in terrariums; they also require a winter dormancy

It’s definitely a new root caused by high humidity.

Since the plant notice a lot of water from moisture it thinks it’s a proper place to pop a root.

You can cut it if you don’t like it the plant won’t die from it and it will prevent spreading
