Looks ok, smokes good, but tested below 22% and low yielder for us.

Hot take: People chasing THC or bag appeal is ruining/taking weed in the wrong direction. Call me crazy but taste is the end-all, be-all for me. Pushing for max THC leaves less room for flavor it seems.

I understand commercial ops need to make their bottom dollar but it kinda sucks that factors like THC %s are what drive the markets decisions therefore the breeders and cultivators decisions too.

I just ran it for a few runs. I let it go to just not enough boxes with checks in them.

100% agree. And usually if it tastes good it does the trick. My old man never understood that and so I’d say to him hey have you ever had really good tasting stuff that didn’t do the trick. Silence.

  4. Thc value doesn’t mean much to me, had the best Cheese years ago that tested like 12-13% and it was crazy good

    If you don’t weigh in.
    You don’t get to wrestle.

It’s all about the terps!!!! I breed specifically for myself!!!

Absolutely! The craft beer fans don’t get into a pissing match with abv%, why do craft cannabis growers car so much about THC when TAC and terpene profiles are out there to help us dial in flavors and effects?

People forget but in the mid 90s wasn’t great weed like 4-5%? And it cost an arm and a leg too.

I feel you dude, we have to cut out anything that won’t hit over 20% for the same reasons. Some of my favorites fell just short, but sometimes when you hunt deep enough you find true winners. I have a Pink Marshmallow cut with insane flavor, and we just 29.1% on it. Was very stoked!

This would be great for me, idk the appeal of super high thc content. I swear I’ve smoked bud recently that made me feel like I took mushrooms and not smoked a joint… I just want a light calming body high to relax. Super high levels of thc just give me anxiety when I smoke.

I agree. A big part of my style revolves around taste. From growing and smelling the terpenes to enjoying the flavor and smell of the flower while smoking. I definitely prefer a balance of terpenes and cannabinoids. That’s why I like growing auto flowers. Every seed has a different combination and uniqueness. I might have to deal with some plants being lower quality, but I like being surprised and excited when growing and experiencing more variety.

I’ve got all kinds of flavours of weed melon, mint, etc and I’d rather have the one hitter quitter lol funny how that works.

What is this “didn’t make the cut” stuff about? Am I under a rock?

Shout out to guys doing this. It’s a really cool experience

Your name is terp king and you’re chasing thc %? What were the terps at? If you guys even test for them really ey 🤷‍♂️

Some of the best strains I’ve ever had test below 22%. What’s crazy is bubba kush, gdp, all the classics would be dismissed in the modern market bc they don’t test high enough.

  18. Mexteddbear

I don’t even ask what THC is testing. I smoke for the taste and just to smoke. I love smoking 😭 so I generally don’t buy anything that’s testing below 3% in terps
