Hi, like the title says, this plant randomly grew in my yard. We’ve left it alone, assuming it was some type of gourd plant, but I’d love to know what it is.
Yep, some kind of squash. Pretty hard to tell until the fruit matures a bit. Maybe zucchini or summer squash.

Some type of squash, looks like pumpkin. The part I circled in red is the part of the plant that develops into the vegetable so you can tell us if it pollinates.
I saw pumpkin, which is somewhat hard to grow successfully. I’ve had huge plants produce a single pumpkin about the size of a smaller frisbee. Lots of flowers that just died (there are male and female flowers, BTW).
And pumpkin could explain how the seed got there: last Halloween’s decoration disposed to the back of the yard?

Looks like a pumpkin. You have powdery mildew on the leaves. I suggest pruning those leaves if you want the plant to thrive.
