I got this monstera mint and was told to chop it, specifically to cut down about 3 leaves where it started losing its variegation. If I were to cut 3 leaves down, it would have to be here (red line in picture). There’s an aerial root right there so I’m not really sure how I should cut it? I want to be able to propagate the top leaves that I cut off. Where would you suggest I cut? Everything seems so compact

There a white nodule right before the root, cut right above it so you take a piece of the root to propagate. Remember to use a sharp edge to cut your plant without damaging it and disinfect it with alcohol before you cut.

  2. Look for a growth eye with good mixture of variegation and green. Ideally you want something 50/50. And cut above it to encourage the new growth from that eye.
