I'll be honest… Didn't know they did that. Like logically I would have said yes if asked, but it never did before so I never thought about it. This is so cool! Husband is hoping it produces corn so we can try to pop it. I have my doubts. 😂

Definitely a smell you’ll never forget. Congratulations!

  2. Amazing! I didn’t know they flowered either. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Your whole house is about to SMELL. It’s not a bad smell but holy shit does it take over an area. My wife and I’s corn plant is maybe half the size of yours and it flowered in our 1100 sqft apartment while we were at work. The next day after work our entire apartment smelled like it. No joke every inch of that apartment had that smell, we had to move it outside (summer time) until the flowers died because it was so strong

That is so big and majestic! I killed mine a month ago or so. 😓

Until mine bloomed a few years back, I always wondered why they called this a “corn plant”

I immediately recognized the gnat trap. Hope the issue is going well.

  9. It looks so happy!! ☺️

Funny, the flowers kinda look like corn ears before they open, too…
