forgot to add – should I be worried about these brown edges?

That is a gorgeous specimen! I love orbifolias! Mine has been temperamental through a move, but it’s starting to come around on its new spot.

She’s a calathea orbifolia!
Calatheas slightly droop their leaves during the day and perk up at night. They are fussy plants and prefer distilled / rain water. They are tropical so don’t let them stay dry too long between waterings. Water as soon as the soil is dry. Water thoroughly and let the excess water drain from the bottom fully.
They are as I said fussy so it’s ok to have brown edges etc every once in a while. Don’t be afraid to clip off rhe leaves that are looking too dead. Sure they are fussy but they are also hardy plants. I had to cut both of mine to nothing because they were looking too dead. In only a couple of weeks they started sprouting new leaves.

Decent size for the price.Put a glass of water out overnight and just before watering add a drop of baby bio/liquid seaweed/miracle gro always water from underneath.Lots of people struggle with these plants so dont beat yourself up if it dies.Good luck!
