edit: damn… i’m relieved and yet devastated someone i love did this to me

does anyone know why this is happening to the leaves of all my houseplants? i’m assuming this is some kind of pest, but could it be environmental? started abruptly about a month ago on one of them and has since spread to almost all.

  1. Do your have a cat? Mine look like that if they start getting too long and reachable by the adorable jerks.

    Cat.

Just so you know, pothos (and many other houseplants) are mildly toxic. Repeated ingestion over time can cause problems including kidney failure. You’ll need to find a way to deter your cat from using the plants as a chew toy.

Oh its your cat. And if you dont have a cat, well shit something is in your house biting stuff and you should be concerned.

everyone is saying cat, but if you don’t have a cat it could possibly be rodents

Your pest is likely one with four legs, a long tail and dressed in a fur costume closely resembling a cat.

Do you happen to have cats? This looks like you have cats.

With everyone saying cat- if it is your cat (the most likely answer) you should put these plants somewhere they can’t chew on them bc these plants couuuld, if ingested enough, cause mouth irritation and possibly even vomiting

If it’s from a cat you need to make sure they do NOT continue getting to it. My cat got into my plants a couple times and he got really really really sick from it.

If you have a cat, it’s your cat. If you don’t have a cat, you have a cat.
