New to hydroponics, I threw some bean seedlings in some bottles I had lying around on a whim, they are doing great so far. Has anyone had success growing this way? What’s a good way to stop the plants from shifting and slipping down into the bottle? The bottle mouths are too small to fit any kind of net cup in there. Thanks!

Watch out for algae growth in the water/nutrient solution

I have grown basil in wine bottles. Use a cotton ball to hold the plant in place. Dark color generally keeps algae at bay. Do know once the roots take off topping up can be difficult. I used a kitchen funnel.
