Goldenrod. It’s a super important plant for pollinators. I have some in my front yard and I just let it do what it wants. I get all kinds of bees and other pollinating critters on it.
It has many medicinal benefits. I make a tincture out of the flowers for respiratory health amongst other things. It is goldenrod as others have said.

As previously stated, this is a species of goldenrod. There are several native species found throughout North America. They are incredibly valuable late season sources of nectar for dozens of species of native insects. You will frequently see bumble bees all over these flowers. I am all for promoting native plants and I enthusiastically encourage you to rip out your lawn and plant native flowers but just be forewarned that goldenrod can be a bit aggressive. It is pretty easy to control by pulling excess plants and/or cutting off the seed heads before they fully dry out. I have several patch’s in my yard and love seeing all the flower visitors it attracts!

Where are you from? In Europe this plant is highly invasive.
