Please help! These trees drive me crazy every year, either we sweep up fruit daily, or end up with it smashed all over the pool deck. Is there some way to stop them from fruiting?

They’re delicious, start eating them. Kousa dogwood might be my favorite fruit

Not an expert but I imagine the only way to be sure would be to destroy the flower buds before they can be fertilized. Otherwise there is always some risk of pollination and fruit. AFAIK there isn’t any solution that doesn’t involve a good bit of manual effort. Hopefully a professional tree guy or botanist or someone like that can chime in lol

This kind of intolerance of nature is why we can’t have nice things. Let nature do its thing. It’s worth the work.

That’s a hotel? With an awesome feature of free food growing on the property? Use it in the kitchens! Put it out in the lobby for guests. Use the trees as great marketing for the place.

Are you on the maintenance crew at a hotel/resort?

Just wondering why you would be doing the cleaning.
