My family lives on a 1/3 acre plot just inside citiy limits of a rural town i. Tennessee and we've een slowly working to crowd out the grass and replace it with clover and regional wildflowers. I made the mistake last Spring of buing a clover mix that included varities that grow up to 36" and I had to mow more than I wanted. Did better research and last week i broadcast 50#'s for a fall planting to give it a jump in spring. After severaldays of good rain this week I've got a LOT og beautiful sprouts. Unfortunately, the rain also allowed the grass to bolt a bit so I need to do at least 1 more mow this season. Come spring I'm planning to get another 25#'s of white dutch and mix it with 10#'s of flower mix after aerating and a round with a dethatcher, and again in Fall with appropriate flowers to hopefully seal the deal.
