Hi, do you know what is this ? It was in my Too good to go from the Asian supermarket. Kinda looks like a small apple. I tried to bite in it but it's either not ripe, which would be weird for a too good to go, or needs cooking
Thanks !

Are they potatoes? If so, you can’t eat them once they’ve turned green.

  2. Was the flavour kind of sour? It looks to me like Ambarella. Texture should be crunchy and the seed kind of spiky?

If it’s spongy textured and lightly sweet, then it’s jujube as others mentioned. But usually I don’t see them that shade of green hence why I suggested ambarella.

  3. these kinda look like new potatoes that have been exposed to sunlight.

This is a Forcithio. It was highly prized in ancient Egypt then spread like wildfire to Asian communities.

  5. The is a challenging one with blurry detail from the first photo. Initial thought they were new baby potatoes. Jujube doesn’t have the juicy centre, they are similar to a dry apple and a pit like most stone fruits. Another close resemblance could be a plum hybrid. Leaning towards baby potato.

It’s an Asian pear… taste like Apple + pear, delicious!

Unripe plums? Those things are tiny and they come on a little branch
