Saw this tree at the Zoo the other day, it’s got a really thick trunk for it’s size and a very flat top like an umbrella.

    Weeping cherry blossom tree. The weeping part was grafted onto a different trunk. Quite often this results in an umbrella effect. If you could see a weeping cherry that wasn’t grafted, it would look twisted and gnarled, like very old olive trees sometimes look. But they are almost always grafted today, so they can be sold earlier.
