I made this terrarium in Spring of 2024. It looks a lot different now! The original plants were moon valley pilea, selaginella, rabbit's foot fern, earth star bromeliad, eyelash ferns, and moss. The pilea got too large, and the eyelash ferns were getting shaded out, so I eventually took them out. I added a nerve plant/fittonia over the winter.
The rabbit's foot fern and the selaginella have really thrived– I trimmed both of them today, but could probably trim them back even more!

  1. Rabbits foot are criminally underrated as terrarium ferns. Small, grow slow, easy to trim, love enclosed terrariums… But people opt for baby button ferns or Boston’s, which inevitably need to be removed. Looks really nice!
