Do you have any tips for clearing the dead lichen off and sterilising this stick I found? I’d love to put it in a terrarium


Found this stick on a walk and thought it looked cool. I'm pretty sure the lichen is dead, but I dont think it does well in terrariums anyway, right? Also, any tips for making sure this stick is safe and doesnt have any pests before I add it to a terrarium?

    Boil some water and submerge it for a few minutes, it will kill any pests and you will be able to remove the lichen easily after it cools down. Although I think the lichen gives it character.
